Washington DOL Approved Driver Education & License Testing

Drivers Education

We know getting your drivers permit and license is confusing but we are here to help

You must be 15 years old by the first day of class.

If you’re enrolled in a driver’s education class, you can get an instruction permit when you’re at least 15 years old and you apply for the permit 10 days or less before the class starts with an electronic waiver from your driving school. The waiver allows you to apply for your permit without taking the knowledge test first.

No, but you are required to have the permit no later than seven (7) days after the class begins.

You’ll need a WDL number. Pre-apply for a WDL number and email it to drive@gowmst.com so we can report your enrollment in driver’s education to qualify you for your permit.

We understand that occasionally a student must miss a class, however classes are required to be made up and no more than three (3) classes can be made up. We have limited options available to make-up a missed class.  Please contact the office to schedule make-ups as soon as you’ve missed a class.  Don’t delay in making arrangements. No refund will be given to students dropped as a result of being absent for more than three (3) classroom sessions or for failing to complete their makeup sessions.  We must adhere strictly to our attendance policy and it is the responsibility of the student to attend and participate and to contact the office to arrange to make up any missed classes.

You have 120 days to complete drivers education. Driver’s education includes all 15 classroom sessions, 6 in car lessons and one hour of simulated driving.
