Pre-apply online

Before you are able to take your knowledge and drivers test you will need to pre apply with the Department of Licensing to get your ID number. We can’t conduct any testing without this WDL ID number.

Washington Motorist Safety Training

is a Washington DOL approved driver training school and driving test and knowledge examiner. WMST’s main office is located in Everett, about 25 miles north of Seattle.

WMST- you can thank my examiner, Dani, for the 5 stars! I was a little nervous about the skills test but Dani was remarkably calm and clear about the maneuvers that I would be tested on and what I should/ should not do during the test. I felt much more relaxed by the time we entered the vehicle.

My son took the WMST course at Kamiak. We were very pleased with the instruction he received. He passed both the state knowledge & skills test on the first attempt & we attribute that to Kyle's excellent instruction! How to get your drivers license

Earning your drivers license is a multi step process and we are here to help you.

Getting your Drivers License in Washington State requires you passing a Knowledge and Driving Skills test. If you are under 18 years of age you are also required to complete a teen drivers education program.
