Drivers Ed at Mariner High School
WMST teaches teen drivers education for Mariner Marauders in southwest Everett, with classroom sessions on the 120th Street campus and drives through the Airport Road, 128th, and Highway 99 traffic right around the school.
Southwest Everett has busy roads. We teach to them.
The area around Mariner does not baby a new driver. Airport Road, 128th, and Highway 99 all run heavy, with constant turn lanes, business driveways, and timed lights. That sounds like a downside, but it is actually a head start. Teens who learn here are not rattled by traffic, because traffic is where they learned.
WMST teaches the classroom at Mariner and keeps one certified instructor with your teen the whole way. We are close to home base too, with our Mukilteo classroom and Everett testing office both minutes away.
WMST is a DOL-approved examiner, so the same school that trains your teen gives the skills test. The program is one package, from $549, classroom and drives and observation together.
The southwest Everett routes we build on.
We start where it is calm, the residential streets off 112th and Beverly Park, before stepping out to Airport Road and 128th. Those arterials teach lane discipline and gap judgment fast, because there is real traffic to read instead of an empty road to coast on.
Highway 99 brings the high-volume lane changes and the left turns across oncoming traffic that make some new drivers freeze. We rehearse them until they are calm decisions. The Paine Field and Boeing approach roads add steady, moving traffic to practice merging and timing.
The later drives cover the I-5 and 526 ramps and the parking maneuvers the DOL examiner scores, parallel, back-in, and backing around a corner. Nothing on the test should surprise a Mariner student who finished the program.

Mariner drivers ed questions.
Is the class only for Mariner students?
No. Eligible teens across southwest Everett and Mukilteo can enroll, including students doing the classroom online who want drives starting near campus. Minimum age is 15 by the first class.
What roads will my teen drive?
Lessons run from the quiet streets near Beverly Park out to Airport Road, 128th, Highway 99, and the I-5 ramps, so your teen practices busy driving long before the skills test.
What does it cost?
Teen packages are $549 to $699. The Standard package is $625, currently $525 with the Spring Fever discount, and includes 30 classroom hours, 6 drives, and observation.
Does WMST give the test too?
Yes. As a DOL-approved examiner, WMST runs the knowledge and skills tests at our Everett Express office, so your teen trains and tests with one school.
