Getting your motorcycle endorsement requires you passing a permit Knowledge and Skills test followed by an endorsement level Knowledge and Skills test. Riders must first obtain a motorcycle permit before they can obtain their full endorsement. To get your motorcycle endorsement you need to pass 4 tests in total.

’s intermediate motorcycle permit qualifying courses are designed for riders who have current motorcycle experience and have ridden on or off road consistently within the last year. To register for a permit qualifying eight hour course you must already possess the basic skills and ability to operate a motorcycle safely, including stopping, starting, shifting, low speed turning and competent braking.
The classroom session covers important topics for intermediate riders and information to help you pass the Washington permit knowledge test. Range exercises practice shifting, weaving, cornering, swerving and quick stops.
Permit qualifying eight hour courses provide a three hour classroom session and a five hour range session designed to help you successfully pass the permit knowledge and permit skills tests included with your course, preparing you to become an educated and responsible rider.
Once you have passed the permit Knowledge and Skills tests and are a confident rider, you are ready for an endorsement qualifying course. You must have a valid Washington motorcycle permit to take the endorsement course.
Motorcycle endorsement qualifying courses are for riders that have a current Washington motorcycle permit and are ready to earn their full motorcycle endorsement. endorsement qualifying classroom session covers advanced street riding skills, improving your perception of hazards and hazardous situations, allowing you to self-evaluate your level of risk taking. Range exercises will practice advanced braking, cornering, hazard avoidance and handling techniques.
