Motorcycle | Endorsement Qualifying Course
You Have A Fair Amount of Motorcycle Experience and Have A Valid Motorcycle Permit

Motorcycle endorsement qualifying courses are for riders that have a current Washington motorcycle permit and are ready to earn their full motorcycle endorsement. The endorsement qualifying classroom session covers advanced street riding skills, improving your perception of hazards and hazardous situations, allowing you to self-evaluate your level of risk taking. Range exercises will practice advanced braking, cornering, hazard avoidance and handling techniques.
Endorsement qualifying 8 hour courses include a 3 hour classroom session and a 5 hour range session designed to help you successfully pass the endorsement knowledge and endorsement skills tests included with your course.
Come prepared to ride with the required riding safety gear:
- A helmet that meets DOT standards
- Long jeans or heavier material pants with no rips, tears or holes
- Long sleeve shirt or jacket that is weather appropriate
- Eye protection such as glasses, sunglasses, safety glasses or goggles
- Sturdy boots that cover the ankle with no more than a 1-inch heel. No canvas high tops or boots with an elastic ankle covering. Riding boots must be sturdy and provide a high level of abrasion protection for the foot and ankle.
- Gloves that are well fitting and cover the entire hand such as mechanic or motorcycle riding gloves that provide abrasion protection, grip and the ability to operate hand controls. No bulky or snow gloves.
In compliance with strict DOL requirements, you will not be able to ride without the above required riding gear. Arriving without the required riding gear is a forfeit of your tuition.

Getting your motorcycle endorsement in Washington requires you passing a permit Knowledge and Skills test followed by an endorsement level Knowledge and Skills test.
Riders must have a valid motorcycle permit or permit scores before they can obtain their full endorsement

Motorcycle Expectations
How to be Successful
To successfully complete this motorcycle course you must be prepared, on time and attend all parts of the course. You must also pass the Knowledge and Skills tests offered with your course. If you arrive late to any part of the course, miss any part of your course or are unprepared when you arrive to the riding portion of your course, you will not be able to continue. It is a
forfeit of your tuition if you arrive late, miss any portion, or are not prepared to ride safely. Please be on time and prepared
with the required riding gear.
Our motorcycle instructors will do everything within the limits of safety to coach each student to success, however, there is no guarantee that you will be able to complete this course successfully. Instructors are required to release any student who presents a safety hazard by failing to respond to coaching, for not wearing proper riding gear or if they cannot safely meet the
objective of an exercise. If you are released or leave for any reason, you forfeit your tuition.

Possible Next Steps
Knowledge Test: If you scored less than 68% on the knowledge test or were unable to finish in the time allowed you will need to retake the knowledge test. You can sign up online for a knowledge retake test session.
Skills Test: If you fail the skills test, you can retake the test within 90 days of the end of your motorcycle course.
There are fees associated with knowledge and skills retesting.
Not Meeting Minimum Scores
Additional Training
If your motorcycle instructor recommends additional training, you will be provided options that may include repeating the same course or enrolling in a different course, or both. If your instructor feels you would benefit from slower-paced, more individualized practice they may recommend our motorcycle KickStart class in addition to retaking a beginner permit course.
