Advance your Skills and Unlock your Potential

Women's Only Basic Rider Course (BRC)

WA State Motorcycle Endorsement Course
Women's Only Basic Rider Course

Our most popular course, designed for both beginning riders and returning riders, but ALL WOMEN.

In the classroom we go through several sections including controls, gear (helmets, gloves, suits, boots, etc.) and street strategies (lane positioning, swerving, hazard avoidance, etc.). During the range portion of the class you will get to put the classroom material to work using motorcycles provided by WMST, progressing through drills that cover basic controls, braking, cornering, swerving, and quick stops. Total course time is 16 hours.

Special request to train on a WMST provided scooter instead of motorcycle can be made be contacting the WMST office or requesting in the online registration notes. Students under the age of 18 must be registered by a parent or guardian by calling the WMST office.

Tuition and Registration

Register for Subsidized class

State-Subsidized Tuition: $125 (Requires WA DL)

Due to the limited amount of Washington state training subsidy money available, WMST offers a non-subsidized novice course for those students who wish to avoid the long wait-times for subsidized classes during times of high demand.

Discounts are also available for groups and clubs reserving space in non-subsidized classes. Please contact our office for more information.

Cancellation & Reschedule Policy

Refunds will ONLY be issued for cancellations made at least 10 days before the class. If you call to cancel less than 10 days before the class, you will forfeit your entire registration fee. If you would like to reschedule your class, there is a $25 rescheduling fee if rescheduled 10 days prior to the beginning of your class. If you are late, or do not show up for your class, you forfeit your entire registration fee.

While our staff will do as much as possible to help you learn to ride safely we can not guarantee that you will learn to ride, or that you will pass the written and riding exams that are required to successfully complete this class.
